I own a 940, the previous premium model, 2 yrs. old. If these newer models haven’t been ‘fixed’, you’re in for a shock. All tom toms have to be BUTTON-PRESSED to start…every time you get into your car! That is, unlike Garmin, etc., they don’t turn on w/the ignition. A major bummer and the reason mine sits in the closet. If you think, well that’s easy, just press the On button when you get in the car, you’re dreaming. You won’t remember, and who needs to? Then, a mile or 100 down the road when you want to see where you are or going, you realize it’s OFF, and you have a minute or so of warm-up before it operates. It’ll drive you nuts. And the factory told me, tough, that’s the way they’re designed. Well, the designer’s nuts and you are too if you buy one.

I was going to switch from a Garmin to a Tom Tom until I read their Warranty.

Basically you accept the unit in an “As is Condition”. No wonder everyone complains about their “No Customer Service”.

Two times taken me to the wrong way, some turning direction is wrong, and some street is not available. It is a worse device.

I ordered this product and after receiving it found that I had received another GPS as a gift, so I returned the one I had ordered from Amazon. The product from Amazon was terrific and would have served my purposes well. I had no trouble returning it and got a full refund, without any questions.

Amazon is a nice place to purchase items, and as usual, they take care of their customers.
